2003 ALA Student Chapter of the Year

Awarded by ALA New Member Round Table (NMRT) Student and Student Chapter Outreach (SASCO) Committee

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Graduate School of Library and Information Science's (UIUC GSLIS) student chapter of the American Library Association (ALA) was awarded the 2003 Student Chapter of the Year Award by the Student and Student Chapter Outreach Committee of the New Members Round Table (NMRT) of ALA. The chapter was given the award due in part to the number and quality of the events organized by the chapter during the 2002-2003 school year. The award will be given to chapter representatives at the NMRT Student Reception on Sunday, June 22, 2003 from 8:00-10:00 pm during the 2003 Joint Annual Meeting of the American Library Association/Canadian Library Association.
